Linden, Michigan Burns 5/18/07

Sunday, May 27th, 2007

Very sad news. Downtown Linden, Michigan burns almost to the ground in a devastating fire on Friday, May 18th of 2007. This is a total loss to the community of Linden Michigan. Buildings dating back from 1850′s to the 1920′s were destroyed in the fire. Serveral business were in the historic district along with some apartments leaving some people with no homes or businesses.

Over 25 fire department were called in to battled the blaze. The owner of Brady’s on Broad Street was rumored to have a huge Christmas collection stored in the building. No one was injuried. The fire started in the one of vacant building.

Fenton citizens are with you, Linden! We are saddened at your loss, and ours. We wish you all the best!
