FentonSays Pizza Playoffs #06 - Jet’s

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

This is the sixth entry into the FentonSays.com Pizza Playoffs. Jet’s Pizza can be found at 235 N Leroy Street in Fenton. This is one of the few pizza shops in Fenton that deliver. There is a delivery charge, even before the tip. But they have some of the best deep dish pizza going. Add the Jet’s Bread and you’ll be in pizza Heaven in no time.

FentonSays Pizza Playoffs #05 - Little Dominic’s

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

There’s a hidden little treasure of a pizza place right here in Fenton, Michigan that goes by the name of Little Dominic’s.  Located at 1155 North Leroy Street in Fenton, they have a marvelous and delicious pizza at a very affordable price.  Our favorite is their $5.99 large pepperoni pizza special.  The crust is crunchy and bubbly, and it comes loaded with cheese and pepperoni.  Recently they have started a delivery service as well.

In addition to their tasty pizza, we are big fans of their sandwich rolls.  Various fixings are stuffed in to a pizza-like crust, rolled up and cooked to perfection.  There is a wide variety of stuffing fixings available, so you’ll have fun finding your favorite.

Little Dominic’s of Fenton is located in the strip mall near the dollar store on the west side of the street across from Fenton Home Furnishings.  You know the place.  Though you may not have known there was an excellent pizza inside waiting for you to pick-up.

Check out the other Pizza Playoffs in the “Eats of Fenton” video series presented in the Fenton Discussion Forum, or click the Category topic in the right sidebar for other Pizza Playoff entries.

This is the fifth entry into the FentonSays.comPizza Playoffs. Little Dominic’s can be found at 1155 N Leroy Street in Fenton. For $5.99 right now you can get a large pepperoni pizza that is mouth watering good. The crust is excellent and there is plenty of cheese and pepperoni. This is a phenominal deal and one of the best, if not the best, economy pizza in Fenton.

This is the thirteenth entry into the Burger Battle on FentonSays.com as part of the “Eats of Fenton” video series. Buffalo Wild Wings (formerly known as BW3) on Silver Lake Road in Fenton, Michigan is known for their sports bar atmosphere and kickin’ buffalo style chicken wings. The sauce selection is fantastic, and their burgers are pretty good, too.

Virtual Video Tour "The Eats of Fenton" Burger Battle #12 — TeeBone’Z

Friday, January 4th, 2008

This is the twelfth entry into the Burger Battle on FentonSays.com as part of the “Eats of Fenton” video series. TeeBone’z is just over the railroad tracks off of Silver Lake Road in Fenton, Michigan. We’ve generally not been thrilled with the service here, but on this day the service was perfect. And the burger, well, the burger was absolutely amazing! One half pounder stacked with great toppings, and for a couple of bucks more you can get it with a side of onion rings. In our experience, it is hard to find perfect onion rings. TeeBone’Z had them! Perfect, golden, crispy onion rings where the onion doesn’t pull out and slap you on the lip when you bite into them. We featured their half pound burger, but we also have a quick clip of their version of a “slider.” It was all good. You’ll enjoy this!

FentonSays Pizza Playoffs #03 - Little Caesars

Friday, November 30th, 2007

Little Caesars can be found at 1437 N Leroy Street in Fenton. Their unique value proposition to the fast food world of pizza sales is their “Hot N Ready” pizza deal. In Fenton (prices advertised on TV for other locations are slightly higher), for $5 plus tax, you can walk out of their store with a steaming hot, large pepperoni and cheese pizza pie! And for five bucks, this is a great pizza. For a few dollars more you can get a custom pizza from Little Caesars, or any of their competitors, really. But for $5, and a quick in-and-out trip, this is a great deal! Pick up yours today.

FentonSays Pizza Playoffs #02 - Cottage Inn

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

Cottage Inn will be the one to beat considering both value and taste. Here we examine their traditional crust pizza, square deep dish crust pizza and Cottage Inn sticks. All three were delicious. If you live in or around the Fenton, Michigan area you are sure to love the delivery service from Cottage Inn.

Virtual Video Tour "The Eats of Fenton" Burger Battle #11 — O’Dooley’s

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

O’Dolley’s, formerly known as Bubba O’Dooley’s, previously known as The Heritage, has one fine burger. Found at 1243 North Leroy Street in Fenton, Michigan this formerly breakfast diner turned Irish pub knows its way around a ground beef patty. We’re not terribly impressed with the value of many of the food items on this menu, however you won’t go wrong with their cheeseburgers and fries.

This is entry number eleven in the FentonSays.com Burger Battle. The featured video tour will give you a flavor for all of the good eats available to residents and visitors of Fenton, Michigan. FentonSays Pizza Playoffs - Fenton House - Special Teams Stromboli

Sunday, November 18th, 2007

This is the first entry into the FentonSays.com Pizza Playoffs. We call this the “Special Teams” because it is the kick-off, and because we are featuring the stromboli (not really pizza) from the Fenton House. If there is any question, you can put them to rest … this stromboli is folded pizza from heaven!

The bread/crust is warm and tender. A single stromboli really is enough for two people to eat, but it’s more fun to have leftovers to take home for later. Only $7.95 plus tax and gratuity gets you this delicious stromboli with three fillings. The sauce is served cold, so we would recommend asking for it to be heated when ordering.

It is located in the Dibbleville area of Fenton at 413 South Leroy Street. We’ll get back to their delicious pizza during the playoffs, but their stromboli is nothing short of amazing! They are presently rebuilding and remodeling the exterior, but they are certainly open for business. The exterior will look completely different than it does in our video. FentonSays says that you won’t go wrong with taking a meal at the Fenton House.

Virtual Video Tour "The Eats of Fenton" Burger Battle #10 — Legend’s

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

Legend’s Tavern & Pizzeria, located not far east off the Thompson Rd exit of US-23 has a real contender in their bacon cheeseburger for Burger Battle champion. Great value for the money and very tasty. The fries were nothing to write home about, but the burger can stand on it’s own. We are also unsure why the mushroom and swiss burger was a dollar more than the bacon cheeseburger. If you’re in the mood for a great burger, you won’t go wrong at Legend’s.

This is entry number ten in the FentonSays.com Burger Battle. The featured video tour will give you a flavor for all of the good eats available to residents and visitors of Fenton, Michigan. Virtual Video Tour "The Eats of Fenton" Burger Battle #09 — Great Lakes Family Restaurant

Thursday, October 11th, 2007

Great Lakes Family Restaurant is a wonderful family diner with very reasonable prices, fast and friendly service. The Flame used to operate out of this location many years ago. We’d recommend adding their slaw and fries to your burger order for only $1.85 more. It’s a lot of good food for the money.

Virtual Video Tour "The Eats of Fenton" Burger Battle #08 — Beale Street

Monday, October 8th, 2007

Probably better known for their blues and BBQ’s, Beale Street has one mean burger. Located adjacent to the gas station on the corner of Torrey and North Road (Exit 80 off of US-23), this is a treat to find. Occasional live blues music is the cherry on top of this Memphis barbecue restaurant.

Crinkle-cut steak fries accent the juicy Beale St burger with a taste so mouth watering you’d think you’ve headed to a southern backyard picnic. Three savory BBQ sauces man every station, and makes for a great ketchup substitute and southern tangy taste treat.
